"Angie and I first met at my 2019 exhibition Coolie Coolie Viens at McIntosh gallery, and immediately hit it off. We have collaborated on numerous aspects of Nature’s Wild, culminating of course in her stunning painting Nature’s Wild (Carlitos’ Way). Carlitos here comprises the cover of our artist book, which captures one of our many intersecting emotional moments. I wrote texts and she replied with the paintings that are featured in the interior. It’s very hard to let go of those paintings, I love them so much. But at least they will forever be in the book."
