ANDREW BECK

Andrew Beck was born in England in 1961. His family emigrated to Canada in 1967 and settled in Winnipeg. Andrew was trained at The University of Manitoba School of Art from 1979 to 1984. He majored in drawing and painting and completed an honours thesis of painted steel sculptures.

After university Andrew worked extensively in theatre and ballet painting and creating sets. His credits for set design include The Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s productions of Moulin Rouge and Peter Pan. Throughout this time he has continued to create drawings, landscape paintings and steel sculptures. His work has been exhibited in public and commercial galleries in Winnipeg. His work is included in the collections of The Manitoba Legislature, Great West Life, Manitoba Hydro and TDS Law.
